Between the fourth quarter of 1977 and the first quarter of 1978 real personal disposable income per head fell very slightly but this was only a reflection of the tax rebates paid in the fourth quarter. Between the first quarters of 1977 and 1978 real personal disposable income per head rose by about 3 per cent.
