§ Miss Margaret JacksonMy right hon. Friend took account of all relevant factors before deciding not to approve the proposal to change the age range of pupils for whom education is provided at Lytchett Minster school from 11–16 to 11–18.
As the school has never had a sixth form the question of additional travelling costs is hypothetical. Pupils wishing to continue their education beyond the age of 16 currently travel to Wimborne, which is further away than Poole.
