HC Deb 27 February 1978 vol 945 c29W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science to what extent her Department has offices, officers and staff employed wholly or mainly on matters connected with immigration; what are the numbers employed and the total wages and salaries payable to those staff; 1o what extent these figures have changed over the past 10 years; and, now that immigration has been reduced to a mere trickle, what plans she has for reducing these offices, staffs and related expenses.

Mrs. Shirley Williams

There is none in my Department.
