asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress has been made with regard to the formal negotiations over the pay claim of university teachers, due for implementation on 1st October 1977; and when she expects to be able to make a statement.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will now make a statement on the progress of the formal negotiations over the pay claim of university teachers which was due for implementation on 1st October 1977.
