§ Mr. PendryThere is no subsidy on Northern Ireland sheep and lambs moved into the Irish Republic. The Government are already helping to ensure the viability of the Belfast meat plant and other plants through the payments under the meat industry employment scheme in respect of fat cattle and pigs slaughtered in Northern Ireland.
