§ Mr. Hoyleasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the dates and increases in the retirement pension since 1945 for married couples and single persons respectively.
§ Mr. OrmeThe pension paid until October 1946 was the old-age pension of 50p for a single person and £1 for a married couple. The following table shows the dates and increases in the standard rate of retirement pensions thereafter for a single person and for a married couple on the husband's contribution:
