HC Deb 03 April 1978 vol 947 cc1-2W
39. Mr. Rost

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will consider introducing proposals for televising the proceedings of Select Committees.

should be classified; if he can indicate whether a substantial volume is involved; and why it should not be usefully recycled.

Mr. Foot

The practice followed by the House of Commons authorities is that waste paper is classified in accordance with criteria similar to those applied in Government Departments. The volume of waste paper so classified is comparatively small. After shredding, the resulting material is now, like unclassified waste paper, disposed of for recycling.
