§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will detail the total amount of Government aid given to date to the Birds Eye factory in Kirkby since the plant was sited there.
§ Mr. CryerDetails of assistance given to individual companies are published quarterly inTrade and Industry in accordance with the arrangements announced by my predecessor in the House on 31st July 1974. Since then, regional development grants totalling £96,000 have been paid to the Birds Eye factory at Kirkby. Assistance to this company prior to that date must remain confidential unless the company is prepared to give consent to publication, and it is not prepared to do so in this case.
