Mr. Greville Janner

asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether the Government have completed their examination of the question of flights to Uganda from Stansted; and whether they will now ban these flights.

The question of the Stansted flight is still under active consideration but the Government are not yet in a position to announce their decision.

We and the other developed countries hope to table there proposals on which we have been working together for a fund based on individual commodity agreements. We believe that these can provide the basis for concrete progress towards a fund which will be viable, effective and acceptable to a wide range of both developed and developing countries.
