Mr. Lomas

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will ensure that Her Majesty's Government give full support to the Common Fund at the negotiations due to take place in Geneva in November.

Mr. Meacher:

Following the agreement in June between developed and developing countries in the Conference on International Economic Co-operation that a Common Fund should be established, the specific objectives and purposes of such a Fund are to be considered next

Japan Steel flat bars A measure of dumping was found, but this was insufficient to justify a duty.
Spain Steel reinforcing bars, light sections and flat bars. Agreement has been reached, subject to formal ratification on the price and quantity of future exports to the United Kingdom.
