asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) what part the British National Oil Corporation played in the choice of Rolls-Royce engines for Continental Oil's Murchison Field platform;

(2) what part BNOC played in the choice of Rolls-Royce engines for Continental Oil's Murchison Field platforms; and if he will make a statement.
