HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c782W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he will not make facilities available for those people who make statements or give evidence to the police on the George Ince further inquiry to have this information published should they so desire.

Mr. Merlyn Rees:

A copy of a statement made to the police is, with the consent of the chief officer of the force concerned, normally made available on request to the person making the statement and it is open to that person to publish this information if he wishes to do so.
