HC Deb 23 November 1977 vol 939 c752W
Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has been able to give consideration to the application for a grant for Westray pier; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Millan

The Islands Council's proposals have been under consideration by my Department's engineers, who have been in consultation with the council's engineers about alternative methods of alleviating the difficulties of fishermen at Westray pier. When their reports are completed, I will arrange for further consultation with the council.
