§ Mr. Golding
The New Earnings Survey 1977 estimates of average earnings of full-time male manual workers in the pottery industry are not being published because, given the wide variations between the earnings of individuals in the survey sample, they were considered not quite reliable enough for publication. Such unpublished figures, however, are, as usual, available on request. For those whose pay for the April 1977 pay period was not affected by absence, the estimated average gross weekly earnings were £68.50, compared with £60.40 for April 1976. The publication New Earnings Survey 1977, Part C being issued next month, will include earnings statistics for men in the industry other than their average earnings.
