asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the information in his possession, he will appoint a special public committee of inquiry to go into all matters concerning alleged malpractices concerning the award of public honours, corruption and illegal practices in public life.

I am not aware of any information which would justify an inquiry of the kind suggeted by my hon. Friend.
