Whether they will amend the Local Elections (Principal Areas) Rules 1973 in order to make it obligatory for the returning officer to send a copy of the material published under rule 46 to a central point, and how much the making of such an amendment would cost.
§ Lord HARRIS of GREENWICHThe Government do not consider that there is a case for such an amendment. There would be some extra printing, postal and staff costs, but these cannot be precisely estimated.
