asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress has been made in setting up the Working Group on Organisational and Management Problems of Mental Illness Hospitals; and if he will list the members of the group.

The inaugural meeting of the Working Group on Organisational and Management Problems of Mental Illness Hospitals took place on Thursday 23rd June. The membership of the group is as follows:

Observers from the National Development Group for the Mentally Handicapped, the Welsh Office, the Scottish Home and Health Department, and the Department of Health and Social Services, Northern Ireland also attended the meeting.
