HC Deb 24 June 1977 vol 933 c624W
Mr. Gould

Mr. Alfred Morris

I am glad to be able to say that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to command that the organisation be named "The Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation". As my hon. Friend is aware, this new Association was formed on 1st April from the merger of the former Central Council for the Disabled and the British Council for Rehabilitation of the Disabled. Her Majesty's decision is an indication of the expectation, which we all share, that the establishment of the Association will bring significant benefits to disabled people over a very wide front
