HC Deb 23 June 1977 vol 933 c508W
Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what evidence his Department has that British Food products sold abroad have to be relabelled.

Mr. Strang

British food products sold abroad are exempt from our own food laws and have to comply with the laws of the country to which they are exported. The extent to which this means they have to be relabelled depends on the provisions of those laws.
