(2) if he will list the programmes of his Department which were subject to cash limits in 1976–77, and which are subject to cash limited in 1977–78.
§ Mr. Les HuckfieldIn 1976–77 my Department was responsible for three cash blocks. Final figures for expenditure on programmes covered by these blocks are not yet available but provisional outturn figures are as follows:
suitable land, and prices, both for land and works, rose less than expected.
The only change in the coverage of my Department's cash limits between 1976– 77 and 1977–78 has been the termination of the limit covering all forms of assistance for the shipbuilding industry. As the House was informed on 24th February, a sum of £65 million has been set aside to assist British yards to obtain orders, and it is this figure which now 385W operates as the control ceiling in place of the cash limit.
The following programmes of my Department were subject to cash limits in 1976–77 and are so again in 1977–78:
