§ Mr. Weetchasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the locations of aircraft hangars in East Anglia which will be used for storing any grain surpluses.
§ Mr. BishopAs I told my hon. Friend the Member for Birmingham, Hands-worth (Mr. Lee) on 25th July—[Vol. 936, c. 33–4]—plans for storing cereals taken into intervention are based on a combination of the use of commercial premises where space would be rented for the 469W purpose and of adapting Government-owned properties.
There are no Government-owned properties which have been adapted for cereals storage in East Anglia itself; but there are properties within reasonable transport distance in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.
