§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether his Department pays benefit in respect of rent or rates for caravans and vans used as accommodation, to jobless persons spending the summer months in climatically pleasant resorts.
§ Mr. OrmeWhere a person is entitled to supplementary benefit, the calculation of his requirements takes account of any rent or rates he has to pay, provided they are reasonable. I would refer the hon. Member to my reply of 8th July.—[Vol. 935, c.37–8.]
