§ Mr. MoyleAt 30th September 1976 there were 24 consultant posts in the National Health Service in England and Wales which had been advertised and which had not yet been filled. A further 24 consultant posts without a permanent holder had not been advertised during the previous year. My Department has recently commissioned research into the factors that influence a doctor's choice of career.
