HC Deb 21 January 1977 vol 924 c350W
Mr. Douglas-Mann

asked the Lord Advocate what is the average lapse of time between the date of setting down and the date of hearing of a civil action for damages for personal injury in Scotland.

The Lord Advocate

Specific information is not available. It is estimated that the average lapse of time between the date when the judge allows proof or jury trial and the date when that proof or trial begins in civil actions for damages for personal injury is about nine months in the Court of Session. In the sheriff courts it is about three months.
