§ Mr. Hayhoeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is satisfied with the present procedures covering communications from the police to the emergency gas services about suspected gas leaks.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe question of communication between the police and emergency gas services is a matter for the chief officer of the force concerned. I am, however, looking into the particular incident concerning which the hon. Gentleman wrote to me on 30th December and shall send a reply as soon as possible.
