§ Mr. Giles Shawasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, in view of his decision to abandon the Sheffield-Manchester motorway, he will now announce the abandonment of the Pudsey-Dishforth motorway in order to end the current anxiety.
§ Mr. HoramThere are no plans for abandoning the Kirkhamgate-Dishforth scheme. My right hon. Friend hopes to be able to make an announcement on the next stage of the scheme during the first half of this year.
