HC Deb 23 February 1977 vol 926 cc607-8W
Mrs. Sally Oppenheim

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what will be the approximate cost to central and local Government funds of the completion of the changeover to comprehensive education in the city of Gloucester.

Miss Margaret Jackson

On 17th January my right hon. Friend wrote to the Gloucestershire and Hereford Local Education Authority requiring it, under Section 2 of the Education Act 1976, to submit within six months plans for the reorganisation of secondary education in the City of Gloucester. Until satisfactory plans have been submitted no estimate of the cost can be made.
