Member for Putney showing that some firms manage production without such experiments.
§ Dr. SummerskillThe Cruelty to Animals Act 1876 provides for licences to be issued to persons thought by the Secretary of State to be qualified to perform experiments under the Act. It does not empower my right hon. Friend to refuse licences on the basis suggested by the hon. Member.
