A fisheries agreement between the Community and the United States, providing for access to surplus stocks in United States waters from 1st March 1977, was signed in Washington on Tuesday. Negotiations between the Community and the USSR started in Brussels yesterday and negotiations with some other third countries are in progress, but it would be premature to comment on the possible outcome.
