HC Deb 10 February 1977 vol 925 c802W
Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many complaints have been received by his office or the security forces from companies about threats emanating from the Ulster Defence Association, Ulster Volunter Force, Ulster Freedom Fighters and Red Hand Commando which endanger their trading capacity and threaten the livelihood of their employees because they are dealing directly with the Northern Ireland Prison Service.

Mr. Mason

No central record of such threats is kept by the Northern Ireland Office or the security forces, and details could not be obtained without disproportionate expense. The police investigate all reported cases of intimidation and give advice on appropriate precautions.
