§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Employment how much was spent on employment services, industrial training, redundancy fund payments and other labour market services in 1976–77.
§ Mr. John GrantThe estimated expenditure during the financial year ended 31st March 1977 is as folows:
Employment Services £96.9 millions Industrial Training £256 millions Redundancy Fund Payments £101.1 millions Other Labour Market Services £ 141.2 millions The figures for employment services include £2.7 million for recruitment subsidies for school leavers and the youth employment subsidy whilst that for other labour services includes £128.7 million in respect of the temporary employment subsidy, the job creation programme and the job release scheme.
