§ Sir Anthony Royleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will instruct the Chairman of the Thames Water Authority to rescind the regulation stopping the operation of car washers, in view of the improvement in water supplies.
§ Mr. MarksThis is a matter which the authority itself must decide in the light of its assessment of the water supply situation in its area. I would certainly hope that it would feel able to lift this particular restriction soon.
