§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether in view of the recent report of the Health and Safety Executive on Bolsover Coalite Ltd. and the Seveso incident, he will now recommend that chloracne become a prescribed industrial disease for industrial injury benefit purposes.

§ Mr. OrmeIndustrial injuries benefits can be paid for chloracne arising from employment under the terms of the present list of prescribed industrial diseases. Where the disease arises in this way it comes within the definition of Prescribed Disease No. 42—non-infective dermatitis of external origin arising out of any occupation involving exposure to dust, liquid or vapour or any other external agent capable of irritating the skin.
