§ Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what representations his Department has received concerning the lack of competition in the brewing industry in certain parts of the country.
§ Mr. John FraserI understand that the Director General of Fair Trading received representations in 1974 about the position in the Isle of Wight. More recently he has received representations from the Campaign for Real Ale about the position in certain licensing divisions in the area of the Chilterns and these are still under consideration. If the hon. Member has any specific cases in mind I should be interested to hear from him.
