1972 … … £240 million 1973 … … £260 million 1974 … … £310 million 1975 … … £360 million These figures, which are very approximate and subject to a measure of sampling error, account for approximately 11 per cent. of all tourist expenditure within Great Britain in these years. Figures for 1971 were collected on a different basis and are not comparable. Statistical information on tourism in Scotland is given annually in the reports of the Scottish Tourist Board.
