§ Mr. GoldingAn estimated 300 young people left school in Tameside at Easter, of whom 90 were registered as unemployed on 13th May 1976. 585 of an estimated 1,850 summer leavers were registered as unemployed in August 1975.

§ Mr. GoldingI am afraid it is not practicable to make a forecast of this kind. The Government will of course make every effort to ensure that unemployment amongst school leavers is kept as low as possible.
