Mr. David Howell

asked the Minister for the Civil Service (1) what is the percentage of professional Civil Service staff staying over the age of 65 years who were entitled to retire;

(2) what is the percentage of administrative staff in the Civil Service, that is, principals, higher executive officers or senior executive officers, staying over the age of retirement;

(3) what is the percentage of professional Civil Service staff staying over the age of 60 years who were entitled to retire.

However, information for the non-industrial Civil Service, relating only to staff attaining the ages specified in the year 1975 is below. The minimum retirement age for these grades is 60, though retirement can take place at any time thereafter.
