HL Deb 27 May 1976 vol 371 cc458-9WA
Lord de CLIFFORD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many licences have been issued under the Breeding of Dogs Act 1973; how many licences have been refused; and how many prosecutions have been initiated under the provisions of the Act and with what result.

The MINISTER of STATE, HOME OFFICE (Lord Harris of Greenwich)

: The only information available is that there were no prosecutions under this Act, which came into operation on 1st April 1974, during 1974. I am writing to the noble Lord about the remainder of his question.
