HC Deb 04 May 1976 vol 910 cc336-7W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the job prospects of those school leavers currently unemployed (a) on Merseyside, (b) the North-West and (c) in Kirkby; and what action has been taken to ensure that this year's school leavers will have jobs waiting for them.

Mr. Golding

I am still very concerned about the situation, especially in the areas referred to by my hon. Friend. The Government have, of course, taken a large number of measures to help young people, and the situation is kept under careful and constant review.
