Whether they will give the estimated numbers of full-time and sandwich students undertaking advanced level work in the universities, polytechnics 1279WA colleges of education, and all other colleges of further education, respectively, in each of the years for which a complete higher education total is estimated in Chapter 10, paragraph 2, White Paper, and in the following two of the recent Public Expenditure years (in the light of the Minister of State's speech to the AUT on 16th May 1975).
§ The Lord DONALDSON of KINGS-BRIDGEThe figures for 1975–76 and 1976–77 underlying the Public Expenditure White Paper (Cmnd. 6393) are given below. Due to the continued reorganisation of polytechnics and colleges in the public sector a forecast of the institutional breakdown between polytechnics and other institutions cannot be given for 1976–77.

For 1970–71 valid costs for purposes of comparison cannot be derived since the polytechnics were in process of becoming established. For 1977–78 and subsequent years institutional costs per student on a comparable basis are not available.
