§ Mr. Viggersasked the Secretary of State for Employment what is his estimate of the number of epileptics who are currently unemployed and the number of known epileptics who are employed.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that in April 1975, the most recent date for which figures are available, 3,500 registered disabled people with epilepsy582W were unemployed. For obvious reasons it would be impracticable to maintain records about the disabilities of all disabled people in employment, but it is estimated that there are 100,000 people with epilepsy in the working population.
