HC Deb 25 June 1976 vol 913 c434W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the present state of proposals to complete the M602 spur to Salford Docks; and when he expects this road to be in use.

Mr. Marks

The Greater Manchester Council has obtained all the necessary powers for the construction of this scheme. It is under consideration for trunking in due course, but does not at present have a place in the firm trunk road programme. In view of the reduced resources for road building announced in Cmnd 6393 I am not at present able to say when it might be so accommodated, as priorities for all schemes within the programme are currently being reviewed.
