HC Deb 25 June 1976 vol 913 cc472-3W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what representations he has made to the EEC authorities concerning the designation of the A5 in the counties of Gwynedd and Clwyd as a Euroroute; and what response he has received to his representations;

(2) what representations he has made to the EEC authorities to include the Holyhead to Dublin sea crossing as part of the designated Euroroute E22; and what response he has had to his representations.

Mr. Barry Jones

The A5 between Holyhead and Bangor forms part of the planned E22, but there are no proposals to include the remainder of the A5 in Gwynedd and Clwyd "E" route system.

The practicability of extending the E22 is still being considered.
