§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give an assurance that the Welsh Office will give financial support to the project proposed by the Sports Council for Wales for the establishment of an open-air sports centre on the Menai Straits, in the Port Dinorwic area, so that work can commence on this scheme within the next two years.
§ Mr. Barry JonesNo. I understand that proposals for the possible establishment of an outdoor pursuits centre in Gwynedd are at an early stage. I would expect the Sports Council for Wales to finance any such project from its normal grant-in-aid.
