Mr. Robert Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the recent unemployment figures for Merseyside.

Mr. Golding

I shall reply to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.

Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he can now publish in theOfficial Report the itinerary of the proposed official visit to Merseyside by the Under-Secretary of State.

Mr. Golding

It has not proved possible as yet to settle the arrangements of my official visit to Merseyside, but I shall inform my hon. Friend of the details as soon as I have firm plans.

Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he can now announce the date of the official visit of the Under-Secretary of State to Merseyside.

Mr. Golding

The situation within Parliament has delayed my official visit to Merseyside, but I hope to go there at the earliest convenient time. I shall inform my hon. Friend of the proposed date of my visit as soon as it is settled.
