§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the maximum sum of money which the Government can spend, before Parliament passes or rejects any devolution Bill, on the purchase, alteration, decoration, &c., of the Royal High School, and addition thereto, or any other buildings or tunnels it may have similarly to alter, purchase or construct, for use as a possible Scottish Assembly, or related accommodation; and what is his present estimate of the total sum involved in any such work.
