§ Miss Harvie Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the current shortage of smokeless fuel in Barrhead, he will suspend the operation of the Smoke Control Order in the locality, pending the resumption of supplies.
Mr. MilianIf a case for the suspension or relaxation of any smoke control area order is made to me by the district council or by others concerned, I shall consider it in the terms of the Clean Air Act 1956.
