HC Deb 26 January 1976 vol 904 c33W
Mr. Michael Roberts

asked the Minister for the Civil Service how much has been paid in compensation for loss of house value in Northern Ireland to civil servants moving from Northern Ireland between May 1969 and May 1975; how many civil servants received such compensation; and how many civil servants actually moved in the period.

Mr. Charles R. Morris

214 civil servants who were transferred from Northern Ireland during the period in question received a total of £438,906 in compensation for loss of house value. No central records are available of the total number of civil servants who actually moved in the period, and this information could only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
