HC Deb 22 January 1976 vol 903 cc567-8W
Mr. MacCormick

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of projects submitted by Strathclyde Regional Council for the Argyll division of Strathclyde and by Argyll and Bute District Council, under the job creation programme, showing the value of each project and the number of jobs and their duration in both cases, indicating which have been approved, which rejected and which are still being considered.

Mr. Harold Walker

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that two applications under the job creation programme involving jobs in the Argyll division of Strathclyde have been received from Strathclyde Regional Council. Both have been approved. One project provides six weeks' work for 12 people with a grant of £3,451; the other provides 26 weeks' work for 23 people with a grant of £26,038.

Mr. Booth

I understand that the introductory flights are being carried out at existing pay and conditions.
