§ Dr. OwenOn the basis of returns received from local authorities to date, in the financial year 1974–75 the average weekly cost of local authority day nursery provision was approximately £13 a place and the average sum received from users 561W of day nurseries per child per week was about £1.35. I regret that information on the maximum weekly charges for day nursery places made by individual authorities is not collected centrally.
